• Free conferences tackle host of issues

  If you're even thinking about attending NPE 2006, a good start is to get to Chicago. We're keeping tabs on airfares for you. This list shows the cost (U.S. dollars) to get from several major cities to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, as of late February (don't forget that you can fly into Midway Airport as well). • At NPE 2006, breakfast with international flavor
  At NPE 2003 it was standing room only for The Society of the Plastics Industry's (SPI's) Global Business Council (GBC) breakfast and speaker/panel event titled “The China Factor.” The GBC is going to pick up in 2006 where it left off three years ago, this time with an event titled, “The Global Factor: Positioning your company within emerging plastics markets.” So if you're headed to Chicago for NPE 2006 (June 19-23; www.npe.org), mark your calendar for the GBC breakfast: Tuesday, June 20, 2006; 7:30-9:30 a.m.


• While at NPE, don't forget the World Cup
  Soccer might be the red-headed step-child of the sports world in the United States, but for the balance of the globe it's the most popular spectator sport around. The pinnacle of this sport is the quadrennial World Cup, which kicks off on June 9 in Germany and will be in full swing during NPE 2006 (June 19-23, Chicago, IL; www.npe.org).
